Cold Beans and Earwigs

Tuesday, June 22nd, 2010

Hey troops,

Just a wee note to say Cuddly Shark are not dead just preparing some epic choons for difficult album #2. Yes while many of you are sunning yourselves stupid colours we’re holed up in a basement somewhere, don’t know where the big wigs at Armellodie blindfolded and bundled us into a van and that was that, cold beans and earwigs never tasted so good. Anyway they’ve very kindly let us out to play a one off show on July the 16th at the Captain’s Rest, Glasgow…….be nice to see some different faces for a change.

Over and out!

The Ruck In The Duck

Friday, March 12th, 2010

The Ruck In The Duck

In an epic battle of evil versus evil, two of Glasgow’s best unknown indie labels – ARMELLODIE and LUCKY NUMBER NINE – stage a musical fight to the curfew in the pit of The Flying Duck.

In the blue corner, representing Armellodie and weighing in at a combined weight of it wouldn’t be polite to ask – CUDDLY SHARK and KILL THE CAPTAINS.

And in the red corner, representing Lucky Number Nine and weighing in at the combined weight of bunch of skinny jeans, cowboy shirts, skin and bones – CALACAS and SHe’S HiT.

The fight, sanctioned by a crazy booker, will take place on SATURDAY 10TH APRIL with the first bell at 8PM SHARP, ringside seats cost £5 which includes entry to the club night afterwards.

Reserve your ringside seat here with this facebook event page.

There we were, minding our own business at a christmas party when our favourite actor from Dad Savage came running through the door shouting “Is Cuddly Shark here!? Is Cuddly Shark here!?” Sometimes you have to give the people what they want so we tossed him a dog chew.

Cuddly Shark BBC Session

Tuesday, December 15th, 2009

Cuddly Shark caused chaos at the BBC last night. Rumours are fans were scaling the new BBC building in order to catch a glimpse of the sharp-toothed threesome before launching themselves into the Clyde with the sheer adrenalin.

The mass hysteria got so intense that the BBC show’s regular presenter, Mr Vic Galloway, had to be pulled from presenting the show as they couldn’t stop him from weeping like a baby when he first shook hands with Colin. Fortunately a deaf blind man called Steve Sole, unaware of the anarchy that was going on around him was drafted in to present while Vic was treated for anxiety with several shots of Diazepam to calm him down.

Mandi Freeman, the show’s producer commented on the events of last night, “I haven’t seen this kind of fan frenzy since Menswear did a session in 1996, it was extremely intense and emotionally draining but thankfully the show went ahead without a hitch”.

Cuddly Shark were unavailable for comment.

You can listen to the show for yourself for the next 7 days on the BBC iPlayer.
